Appalachian Trail :The A.T. passes close by the Visitor Center, and is connected via a 0.25-mile blue-blazed side trail.  This side trail junction is located 0.5 mile south of the Potomac River Footbridge, and 0.3 mile north of the bridge over the Shenandoah River http://tiny.cc/HyOJW
