(THANKS GOOGLE)

First, a look at the  sky before heading out    100_4899 Looks a little “iffy” to me but by the time Ted R. and I reached the metro park things had cleared up.

CHESTCOLLAGE1

In the early fall I sat under that tree on a warm Sunday afternoon and took a nap.

COLLAGE2

Trail heads to top of ridge which I have hiked before. This happens to be a great park to take children for fishing, playground, and hiking.

COLLAGE3

A trip around the  2-acre pond. In the summer there is some serious fishing going on.

COLLAGE4

Make sure to read the “fishing rules” children 15 yrs old or younger. Photo bottom right Lockville Park probably next weeks That’s MY WORLD TUESDAY post.

Project22 Ted R. saying, “Thanks for stopping by.”

  1. Hi Joe - Now that Devoted Spouse bought me the fancy camera, I'm gonna have to add this metro park to my list of places to go - can be there in prob a little over an hour so it's worth the drive - looks gorgeous! Doesn't OH have some of the prettiest countryside? Cheers!

  2. Next week will be about Lockville which is only about 10 minutes away from Chestnut Ridge with 3 covered bridges all with in 1/2 hour drive. Lockville highlights the Erie,Ohio, and Hocking canals of a bygone era

  4. What a beautiful place for a hike! And you did have the lovely weather despite the early signs. I'm guessing that it will be a few months before you can sit under that tree again for a nap in the warm sunshine, though...?!
