I haven’t been in a package store in years stopped drinking years ago. Have an allergy to alcohol which causes me to “break out” all over the country not remembering how I got there.
Linda and I had driven about 600 miles before we stopped. We figured we were about half way there. In the morning before we left we dressed in shorts and short sleeved shirts (wanted to be ready for the warmer weather)
We saw three accidents on the way down and three on the way back some single car some multiple (all bad). Will do a future post on one of them (not the accident but the traffic jam). I have never seen people drive as they did.
THIS IS A THAT’S MY WORLD TUESDAY POST. Take the time to click on this link and check out the WORLD.
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY. I ENJOYED MY TRIP SOUTH BUT DRESSED A LITTLE WARMLY.
Glad you made it safely!!! Marvelous, interesting photos, Joe! That was quite a trip!!

Joe: Nice captures from the place, a lot of great photos.
ReplyDeleteThe journey is the destination, is it not? Very interesting package store. I haven't seen one like that, though there's a winery near us that also has a landing strip.
ReplyDeleteI've traveled that same trip so many times but I've never seen the Package Store. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI absolutlely LOVE your header!

Hi Joe. Enjoyed following your trip. We'll be leaving Oregon for Ft Myers in two weeks. Your "traffice advisory" scared me! (we were there last year, so I know what you mean.)
ReplyDeleteSafe travels; thanks for sharing.
I have no idea what a package store is! But this looks like a very unusual and interesting place to happen upon!
ReplyDeleteHi Joe, That is the craziest Package Store I have ever seen... I wonder if all of those crazy drivers had stopped there too.......??????? ha ha
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see and hear more about your trip to Fort Myers.
Betsy
Great photos of your journey.
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to work out what a 'package store' is. Excuse my ignorance!
ReplyDeleteA note for Tony: Package store = Liquor store.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel too ignorant, a lot of people in this country don't know what a package store is either . . . it's a regional thing.
A Package Store....hmmmmm, never heard of that but your trip sounds like it was interesting and your photos are great. Thank you for sharing and stopping by.
