I wonder if I pissed off the railroad engineer, locomotive engineer, train operator, train driver or engine driver. I saw this locomotive near a railroad crossing here in Lancaster. The locomotive was just sitting there so |I jumped out of my car to take some photos.
As soon as I got close enough to start taking some photos… Going-Going-Going-Gone.
Actually, I was just heading out of town to do a little more exploring in the Hocking Hills (which I did) saw the locomotive and thought (photo opportunity). Then on the way home I saw a field that probably had a hundred or more wild turkeys.
So who knows what you are going to see on your way to and from exploring..

haha, lucky it move away from you. I've never seen wild turky before. Wow, hundred or more. They are obviously not wanted on the Christmas table. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting perspective in your train shots here ... lovely festive header ... and the I found the previous post of interest too. Lots of lakes in California are just plain DRY these days and not from 'restoration' projects.
Hugs and blessings,

Maybe the engineer was Amish? :-P
Gads Joe... You have a SPAM... I hate those things and don't accept anonymous comments.
I don't know which I enjoyed more--the train or the turkeys.... Hmmmmmmmm---guess I'll choose the train (even if the engineer didn't want his picture taken).... ha ha

And thank you for the photos, Joe.
Those train people are prima donas. They make our work so difficult. But you did great.
Looks like you got to the train just in time. Maybe he was messing with you. As for the turkeys. I've never seen a wild turkey in my entire life until Thanksgiving day this year. I saw it walking around as I was headed to my brother's house. I was excited just because of one wild turkey. The very first one I ever saw.
Many of my favourite photos are the ones I find on my way to take another photo. :)
I can never take enough train photos. There's something magical about them, don't you think?
Turkeys are everywhere these days! It wasn't that long ago that they were hard to find. Conditions must be just right fo them now.
don't recognise turkeys with no bread sauce on top
