MOTHER GOOSE NURSERY RHYMES FOR SKY WATCH FRIDAY IN LANCASTER OHIO

A SKY WATCH FRIDAY POST

IN LANCASTER OHIO WHERE THINGS ARE GRAY/GREY

LENGTHENING DAYS
As the days grow longer
The storms grow stronger.

MARCH WINDS
March winds and April showers
Bring forth May flowers.

One misty moisty morning,When cloudy was the weather,I chanced to meet an old man,Clothed all in leather. He began to compliment And I began to grin. How do you do? And how do you do?
And how do you do again?

wintersky3

Spring is showery, flowery, bowery;Summer—hoppy, croppy, poppy;Autumn—wheezy, sneezy, freezy;Winter—slippy, drippy, nippy.

wintersky4

A sunshiny shower Won’t last half an hour.

Whether the weather be fine,Or whether the weather be not,Whether the weather be cold,Or whether the weather be hot,We'll weather the weather Whatever the weather,Whether we like it or not!

It's amazing how much snow you've had this year. We've had the cold but little snow - just enough to make the outdoors look clean and white.

Blue skies and popcorn clouds are so welcome now. When the sun comes out anymore it just about blinds you from all of those cloudy days.;-)

Yes, Joe, we WILL weather the weather --no matter what. There's not much we can do about it, well unless we move (and then we'll have different kinds of weather)... ha ha

Great pictures.. Love that 2nd one!

The entire country has been bombarded with snow this year. Some strange things are going on with nature.

I love your combination of nursery rhymes and old sayings, Joe. It sounds like you've had quite enought weather for one year already!

"One misty moisty morning" is one of my favourites, both the song, and I do also like misty, moisty mornings. :)

Lovely! It's important to pass these rhymes on to following generations
