A THAT’S MY WORLD TUESDAY POST
This is a MUST SEE in Lancaster,Ohio…Please-Please-Please visit their website for a wealth of information concerning (exhibits,classes, gift store, and more)
Center hours are:Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00pm - 4:00pm.. Time to go inside
Greek Revival mansion on Main Hill in Lancaster known as the Reese-Peters House ( It was built in 1865 by William James Reese)
Reese sold the home to Philip and Caroline Rising and it remained in the family until 1994.The Reese-Peters House was then given as a gift to Fairfield County and is now THE DECORATIVE ARTS CENTER OF OHIO.
So, we know who Reese is but who is Peters? Well, Philip Rising Peters, was the last private owner, and now you know. (we also have RISING PARK )
Time to go to the second floor where over 30 artists from Europe and the U.S.A.. (including central Ohio) are exhibiting. Have you ever made a tri-cornered hat from newspaper? Wait til you see what the Hawaiian artist named Moses can do. You will be awestruck. CLICK to visit his website. (A MUST SEE). Joe you are really educating me about Lancaster. I only live 27 or so miles away but never knew there was so much there.

My son is an art lover and an amazing artist. He won several art awards in high school and college. I'll be sure to show him your post and let him watch the video. I know he will enjoy it.
I love art, too, but I couldn't draw a straight line if my life depended on it. I do consider my cooking creations art and also, my sewing. I'm making a wedding ring quilt for my son and soon-to-be daugher-in-law. It's not the the easiest quilt in the world to make, but it's turning out pretty well.
It's a shame I live too far away to enjoy the Decorative Arts Center in person, but thanks to you, I at least got a glimpse. I sure did enjoy it, so thank you for sharing with us. :)

The video is good but if at all possible really worth seeing in person. I will probably go back for a second visit and take my dear wife Linda ( she seems to think I should have taken her the 1st time)

Joe, I love your photos, unfortunately they take forever to load with our slow internet and some of them flatly refused to at all.
