Today for WATERY WEDNESDAY we will start at the Dam & Spillway at Pleasant Hill Lake. The Morning Glory Spillway, named after the flower of the same name is a unique feature of Pleasant Hill Dam. It is one of only two built by the U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers. It has never been used. The Spillway has a shaft 76 feet in diameter at the lip a throat diameter of 19 feet.
Hope this is the last ICICLE photo of the season. Moving on to the covered bridge and gorge.
Notice the snow & lack of snow on the two walkways in the photos above. Amazing what the sun can do.
We will follow the bikers from Columbus,Ohio on down the road to the Gorge.
How about a “bird’s eye view?”
The “HAM” reporting from the exercise room at Mohican State Lodge says Thanks For Stopping By….

Such beautiful country, Joe. The pics of the bridge reminds me of the one at Watkins Mill Bridge State Park. It's one of the oldest in the state. Perhaps the oldest. Can't really remember right now... my mind is so foggy. Anyway, it's so well built, that you can still drive a car through it. Very beautiful and tranquil down there.
Thanks for sharing this with us, Joe. I pray you're doing well.
God bless!
HI Joe, I enjoyed seeing the dam... We have a community around here named Pleasant HIll...But--there is no dam.
LOVE the covered bridge.... You got a great picture of it. And you know how much I enjoy gorges!!!! Beautiful!!!!
Thanks for sharing.

Yes, I hope it's the last of the icicles, too. :) But I'd like to see more covered bridges!
I enjoy seeing covered bridges! I hope no more snow. Though it does not snow here, but the weather has been so erratic.
Enjoy your week!
Thanks for the wonderful tour of the river! Great information about the dam too.
Happy Watery Wednesday!
Love the covered bridges, don't have them here though.
That is a beautiful area and I love the covered bridge.
Loved the pictures of the covered bridge and gorge. I think I need to utilize some of our vacation days to explore Ohio.
Looks like a wonderful and very pretty place to visit. Thanks for the tour. I really enjoyed it. :-) You know, I've never been over a covered bridge....
Damn those photos are good!
Thanks for this part of the tour! Beautiful pictures; kind of reminds me of our part of Oregon -- because quite a few covered bridges and one town in Lane County is named Pleasant Hill. But your PH is more scenic.
Thank you for the wonderful and interesting tour. I love covered bridges and you got great shots.

what a waste, build a dam and never use it. My husband is a water engineer, and he loves visiting dams, this means I too will be visiting.
Reading your posts reminds me of visiting dams with my dad when I was young ... he found them fascinating and made them interesting to me as well. Love the covered bridge view!
Hugs and blessings,
