I RECENTLY READ A FICTIONAL ACCOUNT OF THE CIVIL WAR AND THE SETTING WAS THE BOX CANYON NEAR LANCASTER,OHIO CALLED ROCK STALL.
ON THIS VISIT I FOUND AND EASIER WAY TO THE BOTTOM OF THE GORGE
I HAVEN’T EXPLORED IN THIS DIRECTION YET..NEXT VISIT

The canals sounds like fun. I road one up by Roscoe Village or somewhere. Anyway the mosquitoes like to ate us alive.

I am with you about being easier walking at the bottom of the gorge.
I went on a tramp, at one stage, despite the water, some of use found walking in the ten inch water easier than walking in the rocks and bush.
