AS I LEAVE LANCASTER,OHIO AND SIT HERE AT THE RAILROAD CROSSING THE THOUGHT COMES TO MY MIND, “WHAT A GREAT DAY TO BE ALIVE AND ABLE TO ENJOY ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SPRING DAY.
FOR WATERY WEDNESDAY A QUICK VISIT TO KESSLER SWAMP STATE NATURE PRESERVE. Twenty acres of naturally developing tributary swamp on Durbin Run in Hocking County Ohio.
During the spring and fall migration period, the preserve offers excellent waterfowl viewing.
As spring turns to summer I will have to revisit this area as things “green up.”
For now we will leave the swamp to the “BIRDS” and Thanks For Stopping By
I say "Amen!" for being alive to enjoy another wonderful day. Thing is though is I'm at work right now and with all of your beautiful pictures, all I want to do now is daydream about going on a hike in the foothills. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI pray you're doing well, my friend. God bless!
Nice post Joe -- and I noticed you said "sitting" and thinking! I hear you about that ;>) Sittin' or standing' it IS a great day to be alive.

You have some wonderful nature places there. That walkway leading up to the observation area is something I'd have fun walking because it gives such anticipation on what's to come. Standing there looking out at the water is always a peaceful feeling that I enjoy at a place I visit that's similar to this one.
ReplyDeleteHello Joe,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! Great shots! I had to take a second look when I saw "Swamp" on the sign. I guess I never thought of Ohio as having swamps. Very interesting.
