Great timing that you got to go inside all the buildings! Love the idea of the scenic railroad. It's about 10 years too late for the energy for the bike tour ;>). Still I love it when these paths are available.
ReplyDeleteHave you guys had that Park election yet?
Thank you for sharing your world, Joe.
ReplyDeleteLove the buildings!
It's hard for me to imagine how hard must have been for people back then. It's good for us to be reminded of how lucky we are nowadays!
ReplyDeletealoha,
ReplyDeletei'm enjoying what you are posting today from your world, love the train story
thanks for sharing this and have a great week!
This looks like a most interesting trip. I love historic places.
ReplyDelete...at the edge of the frontier, wow! It seems like another world away. I love the two crib log cabin shots...simply eye-catching!
ReplyDeleteRobbins Crossing seems like a wonderful place to visit--and SO educational... Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful place. It is good to see such historic buildings are preserved and taken care well.
ReplyDeleteI love me them pictures! ...love old buildings. In the schoolhouse, something about the odd boards stuck up there to keep the weather out without concern over aesthetics . . . strikes me as just elementally beautiful. And look how it's LASTED!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the virtual trip to Hocking Hills. How long is that bike trail from Nelsonville to Athens? It looks like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThat room with the black board and I presume the teacher's desk. Is it an old school house? Glad to see a heater, so the kids don't freeze.
ReplyDeleteJoe: That was really neat.
