VISIT SKYWATCH FRIDAY TO VIEW SOME GREAT SKIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD AND SCENIC SUNDAY FOR SOME GREAT SCENES. TODAY A QUICK VISIT TO S.E. OHIO MORGAN COUNTY. THE PURPOSE OF THE VISIT IS TO CHECK OUT SAN TOY A GHOST MINING TOWN FROM A BYGONE ERA BUT THAT WILL BE ANOTHER POST.
ON THE ROAD:

I TALKED TO KEN RICHEY AT THE REGIONAL FIELD OFFICE AND HE TOLD ME THEY WERE IN THE PROCESS OF PUTTING IN AN ARCHERY RANGE TO COMPLEMENT THE SHOOTING RANGE THAT IS JUST UP THE ROAD.
ON TO THE SHOOTING RANGE:
LAST STOP A COUPLE PHOTOS OF THE PRIMITIVE CAMPING AREA.
THE ONLY AMMENITIES AT THIS PRIMITIVE CAMPING AREA; A COUPLE PORTA-POTTIES. AT THE TIME THERE WER ONLY A COUPLE CAMPERS. I’M SURE MORE WILL BE COMING IN FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. AN UPCOMING POST WILL FEATURE SAN TOY THE MINING GHOST TOWN. HEAR IS A PREVIEW PHOTO:

Gorgeous captures. The greenery in country side is amazing.
Indeed a beautiful place. Very clean and green. I love nature and camping as well. We have it usually in scouting.

Looks like a great area to visit, Joe... Did you go into the wildlife area???? Bet there are some great BIRDS there--along with lots of other interesting wildlife.

Wow! That is the color GREEN! I love the shot of the dilapidated house covered in wild vegetation...awesome shot on that one, especially.
A great series of shots of what looks like a really great place. However I wouldn't want to camp under such circumstances myself :)
The bygone house in the 2nd photo is so wonderful - a kind of a special shot I would say. It sure has a lot to tell this little house :)

That's a beautiful place to wander around...an archery range...how cool is that! Hopefully, they'll put it in. I wonder if this place is full of mosquitos in the evening...it just looks to perfect that it has to have one drawback!
