Beaches from Ft. Myers to Punta Cana. Story from the net Author Unknown for Watery Wednesday
Joe Todd saying, “Thanks for stopping by and if you want to see some great “Watery Photos” click on the logo below.” As a child my favorite thing was making sandcastles and then watching the tide come in and wash them away. About the time the above photo was taken my Grandmother took me to Florida for a week at the beach and I got to make my first sandcastle.
bet that took you back to childhood days
ReplyDeleteAwe---You brought back lots of memories in my life... My sons all loved going to the beach and they loved building sand castles.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures and thoughts... Thanks for the memories.

Ahhh...sand castles are the best times. I love to watch people build them. My little grandson played in a deep hole some kids dug last week on our local beach. He wanted me to fill it up with ocean water with his little sand bucket. He wanted a jacuzzi! After about 25 trips to the water and still no jacuzzi, he finally let me rest! Enjoy your summer!
ReplyDeletepretty cool shots.
ReplyDeletein all my life i've never built a sandcastle.
I haven't built a sand castle in sooo long. Now wouldn't that be fun?!
ReplyDeleteNice allegory Joe. Our sandcastles (when we were kids, those kind) were built on the Snake River beach in Eastern Washington, so no tides. But still they were never there the next day.
ReplyDeleteDidn't see the ocean until we were grown up and married with kids.
Great post and photos! I enjoyed the story.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sand castle! We miss going to the beach. Great post and photos.

ReplyDeletesandcastles bring back great childhood memories!
ReplyDeleteThat first trip to the beach is always something isn't it? I remember my first gulp of sea water. It was so salty that it was almost bitter.
