Celebrate the cool, crisp days ahead with a picnic at Conkle’s Hollow.

hollow 017 I’ll tell you what I’m not looking forward to; the loss of about two minutes of light each day. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you make the most of each and every day. I try to live one day at a time and enjoy each moment as it comes.

Autumn days are here again!

In autumn when the trees are brown
The little leaves come tumbling down
They do not make the slightest sound
But lie so quietly on the ground
Until the wind comes puffing by
And blows them off towards the sky.

The winds will blow their own freshness into you,
and the storms their energy,
while cares will drop away from you
like the leaves of Autumn.

Fall poem by John Muir

  1. What great pictures Joe. You will probably smell my camera smoking when the leaves turn. I am planing hikes and snaps all around here in the parks.
Hey, I thought I caught a glimpse of you and Linda at the Backwoods Festival Friday snapping pictures once. I had a notion to yell,Hey Joe and Hey Linda and see is you turned around. LOL! I looked at something in a booth and lost track of you and did not see you after that. Not that there were too many people there. LOL!
