ACCIDENT NEAR LANCASTER,OHIO
WELL IT’S WINTER IN OHIO AND ROAD CONDITIONS CAN CHANGE FROM SECOND TO SECOND AS LINDA FOUND OUT WEDNESDAY NIGHT. MOST IMPORTANTLY LINDA IS FINE OTHER THAN SOME PAINFUL BRUISES AND A STIFF NECK.
THE CAR::::
THE CULPRIT:: Black ice (or glare ice) is commonly a thin, unexpected and nearly invisible coating of ice on a roadway or walkway surface. Material beneath the thin ice is clearly visible. Minute precipitation amounts are adequate to create slippery, unnoticed and dangerous situations, where travelers have minimal indication of weather changes.
THE ACCIDENT SCENE THE NEXT DAY:
THE CAR HIT THE DITCH THEN FLIPPED END OVER END LANDING ON IT’S TOP. SEAT BELT, AIR BAGS AND LINDA’S GUARDIAN ANGEL KEPT THIS FROM BEING A TRAGEDY. A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE SHERRIFS DEPT.,THE OHIO HIGHWAY PATROL.,AND GOOD SAMARITANS AT THE SCENE. SO, PLEASE EVERYONE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE…
Wow. So glad it's just a good story and not the horror it might have been. Your holiday season is a lot brighter today, isn't it!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about Linda's accident but VERY HAPPY that she wasn't injured severely. Linda's guardian angel was certainly looking out for her!
ReplyDeleteYipes Joe.... That's scary... I've heard about 'black ice' --and we even have it here sometimes... Glad Linda is okay... A car can be replaced... She's a lucky gal... She did have her angel with her... God Bless Her....

Oh, my goodness! I am glad to hear that Linda is alright. (And the bears too)
ReplyDeleteLooks like she was a very lucky lady not to get hurt more than she did. Take care Linda!
Joe. I'm so sorry about the accident. As a fellow Ohioan, I understand the perils of winter driving all too well so I don't travel unnecessarily much. (And people wonder why I drive like an old lady LOL) Black ice is evil.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Linda's injuries were minor and I wish you both well.
Dreadful! Glad Linda is OK
ReplyDeleteThank GOD she's ok, safe, & in one piece!!! God bless her... be careful!
ReplyDeleteWow- glad this had a good ending.
ReplyDeleteJoe -- I just saw this post; don't know how I missed it before. I am so glad Linda is OK, and ut us a Miracle that she is! those were frightening pictures. I hate black ice! (We used to have it when we lived in Eastern Washington and when we traveled along the Columbia Gorge to visit our folks).
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I missed commenting on this earlier. You guys be careful out there!!!!!
