A “QUALITY TIME FARM” POST FROM LANCASTER,OHIO
This is the strawberry patch before weeding.
Strawberry patch after weeding and planting extra Butternut Squash.(Used a lot of Preen for weed control). We will see how it works this time.
Garden before planting tomatoes
And after.. All tomatoes were planted in the garden on 5/16/2012.. and that finished all planting.
Four rows of tomatoes with about ten plants per row.
This year I’m hoping to (easily) rototill between the rows.
Pepper plants have been planted in the garden for about a week now. Linda and I planted about twenty plants. (Burpee: Honey crisp and California Wonder
Butternut Squash,Zucchini,Cucumbers
All the plants were started from seed starting on Feb.1 2012
Four varieties of tomatoes: Burpee Romas,Burpee Supersteak Hybrid, Burpee Betterboy Hybrid, and Burpee BigBoy Hybrid
Thanks for stopping by.. When I had my stroke on Sept 8th of last year I wondered if I would be able to even have a garden this year. Many prayers were answered and by Gods Grace I’ll be able to plant many more gardens.Adversity, does seem to make one appreciate the “simple” things in life just a little more.A “QUALITY TIME FARM” POST FROM LANCASTER,OHIO

It's going to be a great harvest in more ways than one. Very happy to hear you are doing so well.
Your garden is looking good Joe. Now I know where to come to steal strawberries and tomatoes. LOL! Have a wonderful weekend.
So glad you've recovered and are well enough to be able to enjoy the simple things. Your garden is a lot bigger than mine and I know how much "work" it is. Your garden looks nice and well organized.
Wow! Your garden is so impressive, Joe! You'll be canning like crazy with all those veggies! Wonderful!
Don't forget to email me when you guys decide to head out to AZ! Who's going to water all this while you're away! :-)
What a wonderful garden -- even more special this year. Hooray for your recovery -- everything will taste even sweeter this time!
