“Crooked Tree” "An intelligent horror story with skin-crawling entertainment. “Crooked Tree” is one of the rare books that uses Indian lore with intelligence and respect. The result is an unusual thriller whose supernatural roots are native witchcraft and the werewolf-like concept of 'the Grizzly Woman'." --Denver Post

Ohio tourism officials brought one of the movie's producers through The Inn At Cedar Falls to discuss the possibility of a cast party. (I think that is a good sign)

  1. Joe that is really cool! I'm not usually a horror fan, but if they film this, I'd watch it because of what I've read about the area on your blog! I hope you get to be an extra!!! Then for absolutely sure I'd watch it.

Look forward to reading your book review!

  2. It was a nice day for the hike but maybe not as pretty without all of the ice. I had a funeral to attend the day of the hike. I love the header picture Joe. I never even thought about getting on the stairs and taking a picture from that view. Great shot. Now I will have to try it. LOL

  6. What a hike. Lots of interesting scenery. Would make a great backdrop to a film. Keep up the pressure. There's a part for you somewhere in that film.

  7. The area is very attractive! I can see why a movie maker would choose it for making a film.

  15. My sister and her husband have visited the Hocking Hills a few times, from here in northern MN.
I've always been in awe of the photos they bring back!
They have rented a cabin in the park, and her sister-in-law loves it so much she chose to get married there.
Lovely! I hope to explore there some day.
