First post of 2013 a Sky Watch Friday Post..The weather outside was pretty cold , but things warmed up inside with visits to the Desert and Palm House…..

While visiting the Conservatory I had the chance to Discover artist Aurora Robson.
Robson’s vibrant and intricate works created from discarded materials are on view within the Conservatory’s plant collections and in the Cardinal Health Gallery. This will be an upcoming post.

The state fair occupied the site of the Conservatory until 1884….History was made on August 11, 1880 when General William Tecumseh Sherman (of Lancaster,Ohio) delivered his famous statement, “ War Is Hell” in a speech to Civil War veterans.(Always looking for the Lancaster,Ohio connection LOL)
