  2. We loved that trip! We only went one way on the train though. We were staying in an RV park in Silverton, so we went from there to Durango and got a bus back (and we were the only passengers). It really is breathtaking scenery....thanks for the beautiful pix and the memories.

  12. Incredible pictures! What an awesome trip! I would love to do this....we are headed to CO in October (we hope!) but I doubt that we will get to do the train. May have to go back the following year to do it. I would just love that! Thanks so much for sharing! Love the pow-wow picture on your header too...we just came back from a Gourd ceremony I will be posting next week, and plan to attend a pow-wow in September. Hope you two are doing great!

  15. One of these days, I WANT to take that train ride. BUT--I would HAVE to be in one of those open cars... Reminds me of the ride we took in Cass, West VA (which I hope to do again sometime also). My Dad worked for the railroad --so trains have always been a huge fascination to me.

    Great photos.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  16. I've been on the train four times but the latest was about 20 years ago. Time for another trip I think.
