“One of AEP's best-known reclamation projects, ReCreation Land is a 34,500-acre area in Southeast Ohio that offers a wide assortment recreational activities to the public, including camping, fishing, hunting, bike trails, and horseback riding. AEP reclaimed this land, once strip-mined for its rich coal deposits, and turned it into a vibrant recreation area. Vigorous reclamation efforts involved planting 63 million trees, establishing over 350 lakes and ponds, and creating nearly 380 campsites. Use of the land requires obtaining a free ReCreation Land permit. You can also obtain a map of the area.”

Wonderful captures as always, Joe! I do love all of the animals!! Thanks for sharing!
It sounds like a fabulous place to visit! Lots of great shots.
So many different animals to see on one site. Liked the swans. I haven't seen that species of swan before.
This looks like so much fun. I bet you learned a lot, too. Thanks for the tour.
Wow! What a place and gorgeous wild life photography ~ carol, ^_^
What a fun safari! I love all the animals and it is nice that they are helping the Trumpeter Swans. Great post and photos, Joe!
Very nice safari tour -- those places do a lot of good and are fun learning experiences too. WE have one fairly near us here in Oregon. Doesn't it get kind of cold for those cats during your winter?
Now I'm really jealous :)
