MORAL: To love is nothing, to be loved is something...!!!
.....A very poor man lived with his wife.
One day, his wife, who had very long hair asked him to buy her a comb for her hair to grow well and to be well-groomed. The man felt very sorry and said no. He explained that he did not even have enough money to fix the strap of his watch he had just broken. She did not insist on her request.
The man went to work and passed by a watch shop, sold his damaged watch at a low price and went to buy a comb for his wife.
He came home in the evening with the comb in his hand ready to give to his wife.
He was surprised when he saw his wife with a very short hair cut.
She had sold her hair
and was holding a new watch band.
Tears flowed simultaneously from their eyes,
not for the futility of their actions, but for the reciprocity of their love.
MORAL: To love is nothing, to be loved is something...!!!
Hope you enjoyed the story, but there is More….. Take a real good look at the first picture..Did you notice::::
“The real beauty in this picture is the attention to detail that the artist, Octavio Ocampo took. Try this: squint your eyes a little and you’ll see that the man with the guitar fades away, and the old man staring into the old woman’s eyes really starts to pop out at you. Perhaps the scariest part of this illusion is that the younger woman has some really mean sideburns! Look out! Also, keep looking until you find: the young girl, the tequila bottle, and the giant vase! Quite a crazy optical illusion painting!” ( when I first saw the photo it was just of an old man and woman looking at each other.)
Memo to self:: Friday… played 18 holes golf at Westchester… did ok…

Hi Joe,
That Ocampo picture is a bit creepy! Did you notice how their heads also form arched doorways?
Glad to finally pop over. Now that I'm retired, I'm figuring out how to manage all this time for blogging. :)))
It seems every time I look at that picture I see something more/different weird..
Brilliant picture. I saw the faces first and then the three persons before I read your text.
Creepy optical illusion -- those always blow my mind (probably making me a good candidate for that museum you wrote about in the above post).
The story is a reworking of 'Gift of the Magi' by O Henry ... one of my favorite short story writers of all time.
I saw where you were reading my blog on a tablet. I read blogs on my IPAD too sometimes (and my own looks better on it than it does on the laptop that's for sure!). The only thing I hate is when I make comments on blogs from the pad -- it's hard to type for me on the virtual keypad and the auto-correct feature does some really weird things sometimes.
