A wandering road trip to Amish Country Orrville,Ohio the home of Smucker’s
The J.M. Smucker Company Store and Café 333 Wadsworth Road Rt. 57, 1/4 mile north of Rt. 30
Orrville, OH 44667 Web Site
Ohio is the headquarters for the Smucker company and this fun store is a great place to learn about their history (there is a display in the back) and pick up some of their products. Let’s take a look inside..
Just inside the front door and I’m hungry already.
A beautiful place place inside and out! ( It Has To Be Good )
Wood fired oven,Café,and bakery.(don’t forget the ice cream)
For more history you will just have to visit the museum area yourself..
Linda was very happy with the Pillsbury Doughboy tee shirt I bought at the Smucker store.. I also did a little early Christmas shopping ( gift baskets) etc….

Well who knew they had so much stuff there. I have been up that way lots of times but never went to see it.Well have to make sure we see it next time. I love the building. Thanks for the tour Joe.
ReplyDeletelove the creative way how you alternate the explaination (history) and the photos of the place :0
ReplyDeleteI'd love this tour. When we full-timed, we used a book that had factory and farm tours and we did quite a few. It was a lot of fun and a great way to learn. Somehow missed this (even though I use some of their products regularly).
ReplyDeleteit must be a fairly common name. There is a lovely Mennonite lady named Dorcas Smucker who writes a local Sunday column for the n Eugene (Oregon) Register Guard.
I love to eat smuckers goober peanut butter and jelly but I have no idea about its history. Thank you for showing me.
ReplyDeleteGood that you made Linda so happy by buying a tee shirt for her.
What a colourful spot! I just love the bright red roof!!!
