R.I.P. B.B. King

MQTlogoa Some real Quality Time music…..

BB King has died. The legendary blues guitarist passed away Thursday in Las Vegas, his attorney confirmed. He was 89 years old.

Riley B. King was born to sharecropper parents on a cotton plantation in Mississippi in 1925. Learning the fundamentals of the Blues from his mother’s cousin and Blues legend, Bukka White, King began his career in music as early as twelve years old, when he got his first guitar.

“The Stairs” in the Hocking Hills of Ohio

MQTlogoa For a Spiritual start to the day “The Stairs” by T.D. Garrison and a couple photos of mine taken in the Hocking Hills of Ohio.

DSC_0017

Oh long and dark the stairs I trod,
with stumbling feet to find my God,
Gaining a foothold bit by bit
Then slipping back and losing it.

DSC_0074

There came a certain time when I
Loosened my hold and fell thereby,
Down to the lowest step my fall
As if I had not climbed at all.

DSC_0071

And as I lay despairing there,
there came a footfall on the stairs
And 'lo' when hope had ceased to be
My God came down the stairs to me.

jtf1 Hope everyone has a great day. Linda and I certainly enjoyed hiking in The Hocking Hills of Ohio.
