In these trying times one should remember::: "God doesn’t call the qualified but qualifies the called." I've heard it said "A zebra doesn't change it's stripes." Well, men and women are not zebras and we do change. I know for a fact millions of men and women throughout history have had "spiritual awakenings" and have done wonderful things in their lives. In particular I like the conversion of Paul the Apostle. I am going to continue to pray, golf, and grow more tomatoes in season. "God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
As it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
If I surrender to His Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with Him
Forever and ever in the next."
Amen.

I wish I shared your assurance.
ReplyDeleteSnowbrush.. this would be a best case scenario. Only time will tell and I will give Trump the benefit of the doubt for now. I am hoping for the best but preparing for a much dimmer scenario. I am in the process of making several both short and long term changes. For instance the spring trip to Washington D.C. is cancelled and I won't be going there anytime soon. As a matter of fact two other trips have also been cancelled. My general feeling; Trump's presidency is going to be either really really good or really really bad and at his age/health will he even last 4 years??? We will see.. have a good one.
