I asked an elderly man once what it was like to be old and to know the majority of his life was behind him.
He told me that he has been the same age his entire life. He said the voice inside of his head had never aged. He has always just been the same boy. His mother's son.
He had always wondered when he would grow up and be an old man.
He said he watched his body age and his faculties dull but the person he is inside never got tired. Never aged. Never changed.
Our spirits are eternal. Our souls are forever.
The next time you encounter an elderly person, look at them and know they are still a child, just as you are still a child
and children will always need love, attention and purpose.

Today's Quotes::: “The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it.”
“All human nature vigorously resists grace because grace changes us and the change is painful.”
“Where you come from is gone, where you thought you were going to was never there, and where you are is no good unless you can get away from it. Where is there a place for you to be? No place... Nothing outside you can give you any place... In yourself right now is all the place you've got.”
“Accepting oneself does not preclude an attempt to become better.”
“I write to discover what I know.”
"A God you understood would be less than yourself."
Just down the road around the bend, Stands an old empty barn nearing the end. It has sheltered no animals for many years, No dairy cows, no horses, no sheep, no steers. * The neigh of a horse the low of a cow, Those sounds have been absent for some time now. There was a time when the loft was full of hay, and the resounding echoes of children at play. * At one time the paint was a bold shade of red, Gradually faded by weather and the sun overhead. The doors swing in the wind, the hinges areloose, Window’s and siding have taken much abuse. * The fork, rope and pulleys lifted hay to the mow, A task that always brought sweat to the brow. But those good days are gone forever it seems, And that old barn now stands with sagging beams. * It is now home to pigeons, rats and mice, The interior is tattered and doesn’t look very nice. Old, abandoned barns have become a trend, Just down the road and around the bend.Unknown

The Journey Is Short...
"An elderly woman got on a bus and sat down. At the next stop, a strong, grumpy young woman climbed up and sat down sharply beside the old woman, hitting her with her numerous bags.
When she saw that the elderly woman remained silent, the young woman asked her why she had not complained when she hit her with her bags.
The elderly woman replied with a smile: ′ ′ There is no need to be rude or discuss something so insignificant, as my trip next to you is so short because I am going to get off at the next stop. "
This answer deserves to be written in gold letters: ′ ′ There is no need to discuss something so insignificant, because our journey together is too short. "
Each of us must understand that our time in this world is so short, that darkening with struggles, useless arguments, jealousy, not forgiving others, discontent and an attitude of constant discovery is a ridiculous waste of time and energy.
Did someone break your heart ?. Stay calm.
The trip is too short.
Did someone betray you, intimidate, cheat or humiliate you? Relax. Excuse. The trip is too short.
Did someone insult you without reason ?. Stay calm. Ignore it. The trip is too short.
Did a neighbor comment on the chat that you didn't like ?. Stay calm. Ignore him. Forgive that. The trip is too short.
Whatever the problem someone has brought us, remember that our journey together is too short.
No one knows the length of that trip. Nobody knows when it will arrive at its stop. Our trip together is too short.
We will appreciate friends and family.
Let us be respectful, kind and forgive, we will be filled with gratitude and joy, after all our trip together is very short."
" This is one of the many reasons I love America! We may not be the most perfect country. but we always come up with something amazing that makes you want to live till the end of your days in this country. "
Thought For Today::: MIGHT AS WELL OFFEND SOMEONE::: A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Democrat."
"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."
The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Republican."
"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it's my fault."

“Before the truth sets you free, it tends to make you miserable.”
“Much of the work of midlife is to tell the difference between those who are dealing with their issues through you and those who are really dealing with you.”
“Most people confuse their life situation with their actual life, which is an underlying flow beneath the everyday events.”
"It is at the bottom where we find grace; for like water, grace seeks the lowest place and there it pools up."

"Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh.
There was a pause.
"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet.
"No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I don't think I do."
"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.
"What are you doing?" asked Pooh.
"Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either.
"But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you. And I'll always be here for you, Pooh."
And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right."
