One of our favorite hikes is the Cemetery Ridge Trail in Clear Creek Metro Park. I have done several posts relating to Clear Creek: Weekend Reflections at Clear Creek Metro Park, CLEAR CREEK METRO PARK FOR WATERY WEDNESDAY,Clear Creek Metro Park-Mathias Cabin-Spider Webs are just a few.. For this post I’ll show some of the early fall color and “things” of interest along the trail..and throw in some quotes from Rumi.. Enjoy
“Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.”
“Do not be satisfied with the stories that come before you. Unfold your own myth.”
“Dance, when you're broken open. Dance, if you've torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you're perfectly free.”
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.”
“An eye is meant to see things. The soul is here for its own joy.”
“Travel brings power and love back into your life.”
“Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”
“Silence is the language of God, all else is poor translation.” On this hike about the only sounds you hear are those of nature or a plane overhead
“Knock, And He'll open the door Vanish, And He'll make you shine like the sun, Fall, And He'll raise you to the heavens Become nothing, And He'll turn you into everything.”
Who is Rumi ??????
Mystical Poems of Rumi
“If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished?”
“When you do things from your soul, you feel a river moving in you, a joy.”
“Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form.”
