One of our favorite hikes is the Cemetery Ridge Trail in Clear Creek Metro Park. For this post I’ll show some of the early fall color and “things” of interest along the trail..and throw in some quotes from Rumi..  Enjoy
As some of you may know I’ve been doing a lot of walking for health reasons and it paid off this past weekend. The Cemetery Ridge trail isn’t the easiest but I did ok and really enjoyed the hike/picnic.
Actually, we combined the Fern Trail—Cemetery Ridge Trail and returned on The Creekside Meadows Trail.

Rising Park & Mount Pleasant…Lancaster,Ohio

“A famous Lancaster landmark is Mount Pleasant, a 250-foot (76 m) high sandstone bluff called "Standing Stone" by earlier Native American peoples. It is located in Rising Park, a large city park on the city's north side. It is possible to climb to the top of Mount Pleasant by following a short steep marked trail from the park through the woods that cover the bluff's other sides. There is also a cave known unofficially as "Devils Kitchen" Starting Up the trail

Thanks for stopping by.. For the past couple months my wife Linda and I have been taking this walk about five days a week.. It has been just a little over a year since I had my stroke and I am really really grateful to be able to do this.It even  seems to be getting easier….LOL
