DSC_0010 LOOKS TO ME LIKE A GREAT SPOT FOR A PICNIC. (JUST MY OPINION) WHAT DO YOU THINK?

DSC_0013 A suspension bridge over Salt Creek. The bridge, built in 1936, is the only existing WPA project in Fairfield County.

ON UP THE TRAIL TO THE INDIAN MOUND.

DSC_0025

“The mound is cross-shaped and about 90 feet across with a circular depression, 20 feet wide and 12 inches deep”The age and cultural affiliation of the Tarlton Cross Mound is not known. The cross symbol, however, was used extensively during the Mississippian period to represent the Sun. It is therefore possible that it was built by the contemporary Fort Ancient culture.” To me it looked like the cross was built north/south and east/west. I didn’t have compass with me so I don’t know for sure.

THE GOLF BALL REPORT FROM LANCASTER,OHIO

THERE ARE A LOT OF GREAT GOLF COURSES NEAR LANCASTER,OHIO..(SHORT LIST AT END OF POST.)

AS SOME OF YOU MAY OR MAY NOT KNOW,FROM TIME TO TIME I DO A LITTLE STOCK INVESTING AND I LIKE TO DO MY OWN RESEARCH. BEING AN “OUTDOOR KIND OF GUY” I SOMETIMES INVEST IN COMPANYS THAT MAKE PRODUCTS FOR RECREATIONAL USE. TODAY I AM GOING TO SHARE MY INDEPTH REPORT CONCERNING “GOLF BALLS.”  “THE LOST AND FOUND GOLF BALL REPORT.”

ALLTHEBALLS  IF YOU ARE AT ALL INTERESTED IN HOW-WHEN-WHERE MOST OF THESE WERE FOUND button

STATISTICAL ANALYSIS: TOTAL BALLS FOUND ONE HUNDRED. 93 OF THE BALLS ARE “KEEPERS” AND SHOWN IN ABOVE PHOTO. THE OTHER SEVEN I PLANTED IN THE GARDEN HOPING THEY WOULD GROW.

1. 25 TITLEIST 10 OF THOSE BEING PRO V1

2. 16 TOPFLITE Dimple Aerodynamics

3. 9 NOODLE/MAXFLI “ALWAYS ATTACK” BALL

4. 5 PINNACLE “DISTANCE YOURSELF”

5. 4 NIKE “MAJOR DOMINANCE” WHAT I FIND INTERESTING HERE; WHEN I WENT TO THEIR WEBSITE; FIRST, I HAD TO CLICK ON ENGLISH AND THEN CLICK ON USA AND AFTER ALL THAT I DIDN’T SEE ANY PHOTOS OF MR. TIGER WOODS.

6. 3 CALLAWAY “YOU REALLY CAN HAVE IT ALL”

7. ALL THE REST MISC. BRANDS:: CLICK TO VISIT THE STORE

ANALYSIS: GOLFERS LOOSE A LOT OF GOLF BALLS. THEY PROBABLY WON’T GROW IN THE GARDEN. IF YOU USE THIS REPORT TO BUY STOCK YOU WILL PROBABLY LOOSE MONEY. IF IT IS A RAINY SPRING DAY IN LANCASTER,OHIO IT MAKES FOR A GREAT TIME TO “WASH THOSE BALLS.” MOST IMPORTANTLY, IF YOU ARE ON THE GOLF COURSE DO NOT I MEAN DO NOT LICK YOUR BALLS. CHEMICALS ARE APPLIED FOR WEED/PEST/FERTILIZATION PURPOSES AND YOU COULD END UP AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM. (JUST ASK MY FRIEND JIM)

MY FAVORITE GOLF COURSES NEAR LANCASTER

MY WIFE LINDA SAYS I SHOULD MENTION I TIED UP THE KITCHEN SINK FOR AN INORDINATE AMOUNT OF TIME LOL..I THOUGHT ABOUT USING THE WASHING MACHINE BALL/TOWEL MIXTURE. MAYBE NEXT TIME.

THIS SUNDAY IS GENTLE ON MY MIND CAUSE I KEPT A SMILIN’

EXPLORING THE BACKROADS AND THE RIVERS OF MY MIND FOR SPIRITUAL SCENIC SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY SPIRITSCENICSHADOWLOGO

moreskycollage

“It's knowing that your door is always open
And your path is free to walk
That makes me tend to leave my sleeping bag
Rolled up and stashed behind your couch
And it's knowing I'm not shackled
By forgotten words and bonds
And the ink stains that have dried upon some line
That keeps you in the backroads
By the rivers of my mem'ry
That keeps you ever gentle on my mind”

“It's not clinging to the rocks and ivy
Planted on their columns now that binds me
Or something that somebody said
Because they thought we fit together walking
It's just knowing that the world will not be cursing
Or forgiving when I walk along some railroad track and find
That you are moving on the backroads
By the rivers of my mem'ry
And for hours you're just gentle on my mind”

100_5967

“Though the wheat fields and the clothes lines
And the junkyards and the highways come between us
And some other woman crying to her mother
'Cause she turned and I was gone
I still might run in silence tears of joy might stain my face
And the summer sun might burn me 'til I'm blind
But not to where I cannot see you walkin' on the backroads
By the rivers flowing gentle on my mind”

100_5972

“dip my cup of soup back from the gurglin'
Cracklin' caldron in some train yard
My beard a roughning coal pile and
A dirty hat pulled low across my face
Through cupped hands 'round a tin can
I pretend I hold you to my breast and find
That you're waving from the backroads
By the rivers of my mem'ry
Ever smilin' ever gentle on my mind”

THE DAY STARTED WITH A BEAUTIFUL RED SUNRISE AND ENDED WITH A MASSIVE CLOUD BANK ROLLING IN.

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY, AND THANK YOU MR. GLEN CAMPBELL FOR A GREAT SONG. P.S. I THINK MOST OF THE SHADOWS WERE IN MY MIND LOL

THEN LINDA AND I MET AN ARCHAEOLOGIST FROM THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY HIKING IN THE AREA. AND HE TOLD US, “MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE INDIAN MILLSTONE.”  WITH A LITTLE HUNTING WE FOUND:

DSC_0031

DSC_0032

 DSC_0033

INDIANS used millstone functionality to process grains, nuts and other vegetable food products for consumption. how would you like to process grain in a hole made in blackhand sandstone?

I REALLY LIKE THIS WATERFALL. DO YOU THINK THE FALLEN TREE LOOKS LIKE A MAN STANDING IN THE FALLS?

DSC_0026

LINDA KEPT TELLING ME IT WAS TIME TO GO

DSC_0007 BUT I WOULD NOT STOP LOOKING AROUND. SURE GETS DARK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GORGE. I’M VERY GLAD THERE WAS A FULL MOON. LOL

FRAMEDMOON AS ALWAYS THANKS FOR STOPPING BY  and Do-da-da-go-hv-i. (In the Cherokee language there is no word for "good-bye"; instead, there is Do-nv-da-go-hv-i), meaning "until we meet again."
