Clarence Holbrook Carter.. Jane and Dora are picking up pieces of coal that fell on the tracks as the train went by, to use in their homes. FYI:: The advertising director of the American Locomotive Co. saw the painting and commissioned Mr. Carter to create another fascinating painting of the railroad track without the receding figures of the two women.This new painting titled “What’s around the bend” was then used as advertising in the nations leading magazines. The Columbus ZOO and a Totem TOO.

Spending some Quality Time at the Columbus Zoo… A great chance to explore North America and check out all the bears.

There's a polar bear In our Frigidaire—

He likes it 'cause it's cold in there.

With his seat in the meat And his face in the fish

And his big hairy paws In the buttery dish,

He's nibbling the noodles,He's munching the rice,

He's slurping the soda,He's licking the ice.

Arctophile (a person who is very fond of and is usually a collector of teddy bears.) at the zoo.

Bears are amazingly fast. The grizzly and black bear can reach speeds of up to 35 to 40 mph. And all bears can climb and are therefore associated with trees. Trees are a powerful and ancient symbol, as is the bear, and both are links to the Heavens and the Earth.

The eagle is believed to be a sacred messenger, carrying our prayers to the Creator and returning with gifts and visions for the people. It's cycle of power is year-round and daytime. Its message speaks of the illumination of spirit, healing and creation.

When you have the wolf as a spirit animal, it could be an expression of your sharp intelligence and strong instincts. ( Must be me ) The wolf symbolizes a strong connection with instincts and when it appears as a animal spirit guide, it could point to a way of perceiving and understanding the world around you that works similarly.

Ducks are associated with the element of water. They are good deep water swimmers and also are content to glide on top of a body of water. As a totem the duck teaches getting in touch with your deepest emotions in order to get to a calmer state.
