Thoughts on Marriage for our Anniversary.

There is nothing better than “Quality Time” LOVE. 

 The news interviewed an 80-year-old lady who had just gotten married for the 4th time.

The interviewer asked her questions about her life, about what it felt like to be marrying again at 80, and then about her new husband's occupation.

"He's a funeral director," she answered. He then asked her if she wouldn't mind telling him a little about her first three husbands and what they did for a living.

She paused for a few moments, needing time to reflect on all those years. After a short time, a smile came to her face and she answered proudly, explaining that..

  she'd first married a banker when she was in her early 20's,

then a circus ringmaster when in her 40's,

later on a preacher when in her 60's,

and now in her 80's, a funeral director.

The interviewer looked at her, quite astonished, and asked why she had married four men with such diverse careers.

 She smiled and explained, "I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go."

 Now go out there and have a great day.. Today is 8/10/2014 and Linda and I are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary..

 Linda my wonderful wife and best friend & Joe Todd…. living one day at a time and enjoying one moment at a time with each other…. Love you Linda…..

The Good Wife::

1. “So this is the office you always kept me out of! I can guess why. Do they really make you work in all this litter? With this old-fashioned furniture? And your CEO too!”  ( I wonder if something like this ever happened) AND Today::::

A young engineer was leaving the office at 5:45 p.m. when he found the CEO standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand.

"Listen," said the CEO, "this is a very sensitive and important document, and my secretary is not here. Can you make this thing work?"

"Certainly!" said the young engineer. He turned on the machine, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.

  "Excellent, excellent!" said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the machine, "I just need one more copy."

Walkabout The Adena Estate of Thomas Worthington

  “Adena was the 2000-acre estate of Thomas Worthington (1773-1827), sixth governor of Ohio and one of the state's first United States Senators. Museum and Visitors Center features interactive exhibits

Adena/Adina:: Means "delicate, gentle" in Hebrew.

I didn’t walkabout all the 300 remaining acres of the original
homeplace but I did check out the five outbuildings and formal gardens. The gardens have undergone major renovation.

Scheduled 1-hour tours of the Adena Mansion are available during regular operating hours.

  I really enjoyed the tour of the Mansion but I will leave that for another post.

This magnificent mansion was built back in 1806-1807.

When this mansion was built Ohio was really wilderness and dense forest.

“A bank barn or banked barn is a style of barn noted for its accessibility, at ground level, on two separate levels. Often built into the side of a hill, or bank, both the upper and the lower floors area could be accessed from ground level, one area at the top of the hill and the other at the bottom.”

“ The springhouse at Adena was built by George McCormick and Conrad Christman in 1805, at a cost of $46.34. The current springhouse is a reproduction.

THE TENANT HOUSE

As I was leaving the estate but still on the access road this is what I saw.

I have no explanation for the camel.. I posted this photo on my Facebook page and people thought I had been sniffing glue when I said, “I saw this camel in someone's backyard.” (We are talking Ohio after all).. I may have to go back to Adena to get the “story of the camel.”

Women will be Women

 A “Quality Time” Laugh

A woman and a man are involved in a car accident.

It’s a bad one. Both of their cars are totally demolished but amazingly neither of them are hurt.

After they crawl out of their cars,

The woman says, “So you’re a man, that’s interesting. I’m a woman. Wow, just look at our cars! There’s nothing left but fortunately we are unhurt. This must be a sign from God

  that we should meet and be friends and live together in peace for the rest of our days.”

The man replied,
“I agree with you completely. This must be a sign from God! “

The woman continued,
“And look at this, here’s another miracle…. My car is completely demolished but this bottle of wine didn’t break.

Surely God wants us to drink this wine and celebrate our good fortune.”

Then she hands the bottle to the man. The man shakes his head in agreement, opens it and drinks half the bottle

  and then hands it back to the woman. The woman takes the bottle, immediately puts the cap back on, and hands it back to the man.

The man asks, “Aren’t you having any?”
The woman replies, “No. I think I’ll just wait for the police”
